I was priveleged to work with a couple named
Phyllis and Darren Sudman on producing a video to promote awareness
of a potentially deadly heart condition called Long QT Syndrome.
Phyllis and Darren lost their baby boy, Simon, when he was barely
3 months old. To say it's a horrifying and life-changing experience
can't even remotely describe what I imagine they've been through,
and as a father of a baby boy I can't bear to think of such a
tragedy.
They've channeled their energy and their grief
into doing some amazing things to promote awareness of sudden
cardiac arrest, especially in children. Please watch the short
video below, and send this link to anyone you know. It affects
people of all ages, and is important to diagnose quickly, especially
with children. A simple $14 Electrocardiogram
(ECG) test
can make the difference between life and death.
It's treatable, and easily treatable at that.
Their website, Simonsfund.org
has amazing amounts of information about this condition, and taking
a few minutes now can save a life. Thanks for your help.
